Tag Rugby Tournament

In the last week of the first half of autumn term the whole of Year 2 took part in a knockout tag rugby tournament. If a team won their match they would play again. They could practise all the skills they had learnt over this half term in their PE lessons, in a competitive game situation.

It was like a summers day in October and the matches were reffed by a Grove student and Mrs Line. Two other Grove students helped with the scoring and organising the children. All the matches were very exciting, some amazing tries were scored and real teamwork could be seen. They had to shake hands and congratulate the other team for winning at the end of each game. Well done to all the teams. The final was played between Rubies from Earth class and Scotland from Moon class. Well done to Earth class. Wow – what a final!!
