At Market Drayton Infant & Nursery School, safeguarding is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, protected and able to thrive. The welfare of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do, and all staff share a responsibility for keeping children safe.
We work closely with families, external agencies and the wider community to ensure that children receive the support they need. Our staff are fully trained in safeguarding procedures and are vigilant in identifying and responding to any concerns about a child’s wellbeing.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding, we participate in Operation Encompass, a national initiative that enables schools to provide timely support for children who may have been affected by domestic abuse. We are also proud to be an accredited Safer School, working in partnership with West Mercia Police and Empower Multi-Academy Trust to promote personal safety, wellbeing and a secure learning environment for all pupils.
